A bit worrying that files can be lost like that. Have just lost 24 files. Will have to remember to back up the folder. This issue soon will be a year old, but I still get stuck sync for several not so big files. I see no reason for a paid subscription with such a poor support. I suppose they do file protection only if you pay for the account, like business accounts. I guess for free, personal accounts you don't have any protection Then it seems to be bad marketing - as a potential customer I see it failing at very basic functionality and doubt it will not fail with paid account.
Yeah, I reported the issue in Sept and it never got resolved. After facing tons of trouble, I finally had to just switch to a different service for my cloud sync and backup. Sad to see that the issue is still unresolved. Happens to me all the time, especially, when syncing on a laptop that hasn't been used for a while at a time. The only solution so far, is to touch the files on the device I know they synced fine before, that kinda rattles it all up and the syncing then runs fine for a while - untill the next time this happens i.
Same here,raised an issue You should see some reason given why it can't process it, such as it has been modified recently and MEGAsync is waiting for it to be stable, or some other process has it open in a way that means MEGAsync can't read it. If the reason given is not clear or is incorrect, please post details here.
This reply is at least one year late. Last week I close my mega account because of this issue. I couldn't try this because the transfer quota is really small these days around 2gb. Someone suggested in that forcing a full scan solves the issue. I don't know if this will work for me because I'm downloading a folder, not syncing. But I'll try. The 5 stuck files are perfectly downloadable from the MEGA website. The most of it has been downloaded locally but there are some files that cannot be downloaded.
Most of the time, it is trying to download and it says "retrying" and sometimes "failed: Temporary not available". When I go to the log file, I always get the same error: "Transfer failed with error [transfer. What is happening? Before the installation completes, you will be asked for your MEGA account. The program will use this to fetch your files from your MEGA cloud drive. Choose the install type. Finish the setup. Your MEGA cloud drive will now be automatically synchronized or mirrored to the specified local folder.
Let MEGA sync. As long as MEGA Sync Client is running, it will reside in your notification toolbar on the lower right corner of your desktop. Part 3. Add files. You can drag files into the folder or use the keyboard shortcuts to copy or move. All the files you put into this folder will automatically be uploaded and stored in your MEGA cloud drive.
Move files. Delete files. You can also click and drag the file to your Recycle Bin. All the files you removed from this folder will also be removed from your MEGA cloud drive. Part 4. Add folders. If you want to add folders to your MEGA cloud drive for better file organization and structure, just use the normal Windows operations to add folders into the main MEGA folder.
A new folder will be created, which you can now name. Once the folder has been created, you can add, move, or copy files into it, as in Part 3. Move folders. If you don't want to add files one by one to your MEGA folders, you can move or copy a whole folder. All the files inside that folder will also be moved or copied together. Delete folders. You can also click and drag the folder to your Recycle Bin.

This is the correct location for Windows. Helped me a ton as Mega didnt automatically save the file I downloaded so I had to hunt for it myself.
